Your contribution is made to Nan Baker’s official campaign committee titled “Friends of Nan Baker” Online Payments will be processed by PayPal and will appear on your credit card statement as “PayPal FriendsOfNanB”.
Election Law
In our efforts to fully comply with campaign finance laws we ask that all contributors provide their occupation and employer name when making a contribution. Contributions can be made with personal checks and personal credit cards only. Corporate checks are prohibited by law. Your contribution is not considered a charitable contribution for “federal” income tax purposes however, you can claim a “Dollar for Dollar” deduction on your Ohio Income Tax form, see below for details.
Ohio Income Tax Credit
To encourage participation in the election process, in accordance with Ohio Law, a state income tax credit can be claimed when an individual filer up to $50.00 and up to $100.00 for joint filers makes a contribution to ANY statewide or legislative candidate. (ORC 5747.29)
You can claim your deduction on line number 56 of Ohio Tax Form IT 1040.
